JCB Honours Nepali Customers for Rescue Efforts During Recent Floods

JCB India has honoured two Nepali customers, Ain Bahadur Raut and Netra Bahadur Adhikari, for their contribution to rescue efforts during the recent floods in Nepal.

The two were felicitated at the JCB Pavilion during Bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026, where Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, personally acknowledged their efforts. Raut and Adhikari used a JCB 221 tracked excavator and other construction equipment while working for several days at the Trishuli 3A site.

Their efforts helped facilitate the rescue of two people who had been trapped at the site and were brought out alive.

Shetty described the incident as a story that gives hope even during tragedies such as the floods in Nepal. He also highlighted the humble nature of the two individuals despite their actions during the rescue operation.

Meanwhile, MAW Earthmovers, JCB's authorised distributor in Nepal, has been supporting machines involved in rescue, relief and reconstruction activities through its JCB WOW Service vehicles. The company is currently conducting the JCB Disaster Relief Special Free Service Camp across Nuwakot and Dhading.

The campaign provides free service support to JCB machines deployed in the affected areas. MAW Earthmovers has also distributed safety kits to operators working with machines deployed for rescue and reconstruction activities under hazardous conditions.

With recovery and reconstruction efforts continuing across the affected areas, the company said it remains committed to supporting JCB customers and machine operators involved in the ongoing work.
